review - On highways across America, a tribe of people called The True Knot travel in search of sustenance. They look harmless-mostly old, lots of polyester, and married to their RVs. But as Dan Torrance knows, and tween Abra Stone learns, The True Knot are quasi-immortal, living off the "steam" that children with the "shining" produce when they are slowly tortured to death. Haunted by the inhabitants of the Overlook Hotel where he spent one horrific childhood year, Dan has been drifting for decades, desperate to shed his father"s legacy of despair, alcoholism, and violence. Finally, he settles in a New Hampshire town, an AA community that sustains him, and a job at a nursing home where his remnant "shining" power provides the crucial final comfort to the dying. Aided by a prescient cat, he becomes "Doctor Sleep." Then Dan meets the evanescent Abra Stone, and it is her spectacular gift, the brightest shining ever seen, that reignites Dan"s own demons and summons him to a battle for Abra"s soul and survival

Doctorsleep online. Doctor sleep ending. This is one of my favorite scenes from Doctor Sleep, it stayed with me after it was finished. This is such a beautiful scene. Her floating around and looking at the world. The heartbeat and hearing her breathe. It gave me goosebumps! I saw it with my uncle and he absolutely loved this film. You"re just a fucking child. A drawn out boring story, not to mention miserable. At two and a half hours it"s also too long. No likeable characters or interesting ideas.

The film is based on a good cast performance and on everything that we perhaps wanted to know more about the sparkle and the mysteries that surrounds this creepy world, but does nothing but take us on a train full of nostalgia, which feds us, but not satisfies. Good film, to be watched more than once for sure, but unfortunatly not up to expectations. Nobody asked for a "Kubrick 2" but at least somebdoy asked for a film worthy of the story itself. Just doesn"t shine.

I read the book twice so I went with very HIGH expectations and this movie did not disappoint, if you are on the Fence about seeing this movie just go!
I LOVED the shining movie pretty much all my life and this was a walk down into that movie with footage you have never seen, I cannot wait to see it again. So Jack and Lloyd"s ghosts morphed together and this is what you see. Doctor sleep book. Christ this girl can act.

Jack"s voice over would make this fantastic. This movie was fantastic, Mike Flanagan did such a great job with adapting The Shining and Doctor Sleep novels and Stanley Kubricks timeless adaptation, he somehow managed to please both Stephen King and Kubrick fans at the same time which is very difficult. Also im convinced that Rose the Hat is actually a physical manifestation of Randall Flagg aka The Man in Black from The Dark Towers Universe and The Stand, or possibly Flagg was her mentor, but they are definitely connected.
